and relax

don’t be a sourpuss and grumpy face just because you didn’t get the  christmas tree you wanted,

first have a listen to this song

ok so I have been super excited for roughly four weeks now because that’s when I first caught sight of

ta da da da

a snowing christmas tree

yup you read it right snowing, see now that was me impressed right from the word snowing, of course I only saw a small advert and briefly the outside of the box, but it was expensive -£40! now I am poor and that is a lot of money, I saved up, took me four weeks and *ahem cough* some clever swapping of money priorities but I was so happy, today I runs- ok well hobbles quickly , ok kind of slowly but thinking I was hobbling quickly, on my crutches to the only shop in town (and bear in mind I did my research checked whole tinterwebby place and not only was this the cheapest by far, but in fact the only one within my price range for this type of thing) so back to the hobbling- honestly in my mind there was go faster stripes in the air and special effects normally created by various wind machines just off camera however in reality I accept all people saw was someone shuffling along getting in people’s way, so arrival at the shop and screeching to a halt ok slowly coming to a halt yeah I get the drift there is absolutely nothing fast about me, so stopping outside shop to have one last quick look make sure they still had them, and

they had them alright but this time I could see it for real, they had one on display, not in its box, are you seeing where I am going with this?

it was awful

it was barely ten inches tall, it resembled a twig with green bits stuck on and it was placed in an open, upside down umbrella, snowing was acheived by a funnel in center that sucked up tiny white plastic balls and blew them out over the top of the twig, thus to be caught in upside umbrella and so on

I was gutted! absolutely downright upset, disappointed and any other words that would show a mouth open, dismayed, and in shock person in the street, some one not quite accepting that the one thing they dreamed about for the last four weeks was ruined right there in front of their eyes, I swear you could have gotten the same effect by buying a twig painting it green sticking it in an upside down umbrella and throwing some styrofoam balls at it

and they wanted forty quid for this

so that’s about £39  profit margin there then huh

I didn’t get it

next year I will save up twice as long, twice as much, and get me one from the tinterwebby

I did instead though, buy a bear that recites ’twas the night before christmas‘ which I am more than happy with, and it was less than half the price of the snowing twig! however I realise I have now made myself surplus to requirements on christmas eve! because our usual routine runs along the lines of

relaxing all morning until our personal visit from santy claus – this is normally me dressed up with cushions under super santa outfit fake beard the lot ^_^ (I am quite proud of my santy claus act) and I carry a sack, talk deeply, (ok I confess I just sound I have a bad cold and even worse accent) and hand out to each of my children one pre-christmas christmas present. I do it every year and they love it, a visit from santa and something to play with, anyways this year my oldest is doing the whole visit thing  as santa on crutches is a bit of a giveaway

then we eat lovely christmas stuff like mince pies until we all feel sick, play, watch ‘it’s a wonderful life‘ and then

bedtime, which is always super early, now just as we are all in pyjamas ready for bed I read twas the night before christmas‘ and yup you guessed I will not be doing that this year because I bought a bear that recites it!

aahhh well I shall just have to invent a new tradition for this christmas I have no idea what just yet but I will think of something ^_^

maybe make your own snowing christmas tree ^_^

have a super day everyone love to all

  1. Oh Kizz, the build up was so exciting, could feel your smile down to my toes…so the let down is equally felt. So sorry (not surprised though, sadly). Your alternative choice sounds a good one, though I suspect you may end up taping his furry gob and doing it yourself ’cause tradition is written all over your red and green aura! Love the story, and love how you love…well…just about everything! xoxox

    1. yay lovely to hear from you my wonderful darling rhinda! i have decided to go real this year now, yup i am getting a real tree! hopefully anyway i shall see how much they are closer to the time but i never had a real one so it should be sweet ^_^ have a super day my gorgeous love and hugs xx

      1. You’ll love it! Just the smell alone is worth it. It shouldn’t cost you anymore than you were willing to spend for that horrid little snowing one…finger’s crossed you find the perfect tree. love to you too! xoxo

  2. Oh my goodness. What a letdown. I can’t remember when I last had a similar experience but I know the feeling of heart dropping on your toes. Ouch.

    Better luck next time around.
