spread a little happiness

hiya everyone,

today has been quite lovely, well not the weather that’s been awful but this morning I finally got to use my ipod – it’s an old one given to me by oldest daughter but to me it’s a new thing I am quite rubbish with technology but lovely oldest daughter sat with me as I used my first itunes card I am such a modern woman ^_^ course the itunes site had me flummoxed if the oldest hadn’t been there I may well have given up but she walked me through it and I bought keep moving by yes you guessed it Andrew Stockdale and the first Wolfmother and they are both super brilliant!

eye be dancing!

eye be dancing!

I ipoded through the walking of the dogs, I ipoded through the cleaning, I ipoded through the awful weather and I ipoded through the cooking, it was excellent, the time flew by the music was excellent and my kitchen looks all lovely and clean ^_^ for a few hours I wasn’t married mum of four, I was young, free, and at the best rock gig ever ^_^ mind I do have watch where I am and I do believe there may have been a few giggles from others as they heard my awful singing ^_^ ahh lovely day

not actually me singing but a very good impression of me singing^_^

not actually me singing but a very good impression of me singing^_^

And you know what was brilliant way of ending the day, I found out my youngest who has been training hard this last week or two getting up extra early and training in this awful weather and she is only seven but it was all worth it because just found out she was picked to represent her school in the cross country run I am very proud mam ^_^

being a mum is the most important thing to me my kids are the best thing ever happened to me and this poem is my fave all time poem and expresses perfectly the love of being mum I have it hanging in my living room

this week has gone so well even the oldest has had a trial session at a local hairdressers and they seem to like her which- fingers crossed- may lead to a job, she is still training yet but she hopes for an apprenticeship and they have asked her to come back next monday for another trial so a tad excited  we are

second daughter is doing fantastic at her secondary school she has done so well I said I would buy her a present for working so hard -she even came home with two certificates from the head of school for excellent school work! bet you can’t guess what she chose as her present though, bearing in mind this is second daughter and geek is her middle name and her only love is pokemon, yup she chose rats, that’s right she now has in her bedroom a fancy vivarium thing with two rats in it and a variety of rat toys for them to climb and play with, I won’t go near them I told her they are her full responsibility no way I am cleaning rat stuff!

even managed to get my son sorted his school finally listened to me , he attends a special school because of his disabilities and for a long time now I have had to fight to have his particular problems recognised and finally this week they gave him another class more suited to him and a teacher who is trained and able to respond to him so I finally stop losing sleep over my son at school, and you know what’s even better – he likes it too!

so it’s not often where so many things come together nicely like this and I joined the modern world ^_^

hope you all find something no matter how small but something that helps you smile and feel good

love to all

    1. its just wonderful i am so proud and pleased to see how she sees positive results from her hard work, it was all her idea she just wanted to take part in the trials and then today she just casually mentioned she got picked and i was amazed not because i didn’t think she would get through but because she didn’t mention it at school home time we had tea and everything and we were just sat here in my bedroom watching a movie together relaxing and she says oh there is a letter it’s because I was picked, just matter of fact and i dashed downstairs got the letter and it was right she had got through- me i would have been excited shouting to anyone who would listen but my gorgeous little 7 yr old just kind of took it in her stride! how calm and relaxed ^_^ kids amazing people! thank you for dropping by have a super day/evening take care x

  4. Thanks for visiting my blog. I came over and read this and wow, what a great day for you. I suspect resolving your son’s schooling was the highlight but I remember running the school cross country too. I did a county trial came nowhere but had a lot of fun. I don’t understand iTunes very well either. Every time I log on it says “a new version of iTunes is available” and I haven’t understood the last one yet. Enjoy the happiness today.

  5. Reblogged this on Forget the Viagra, Pass Me a Carrot and commented:
I love this diverse blog and thanks Kizzylee for being so descriptive. I love my Ipod too, in fact have adopted it. It rarely leaves my side and holds around 1000 digital memories of over 50 years of music. Every once in a while I interchange with others on my computer. It will be buried with my ashed in the permanently on position playing Creedance Bad Moon Rising!
