  1. Ha ha ha. I used to have a budgie like Disco and I called him Sunny. He was awesome company and have a wonderful vocabulary. After some time I thought he might be lonely and I brought home a blue female budgie for him. I called her Cher. Yes, you’ve made the right connection.
Sunny tried to sweeten up Cher but she wouldn’t have any of it. “Give me a kish, Cherie, Give me a kish.”

    1. aww thats so sweet! nearly made me want to go get another one but i have enough cleaning up to do with 4 kids a husband and three dogs i remember when i had budgies before and they made so much mess i promised myself i would never get one again don’t know if it was just those i had or if it was because i used to let them fly free in the room i swear there was bird poop everywhere but i just didn’t have the heart to make them stay in cage to me they were birds and should be flying free and that is why i don’t get any more, i am trying to be strong on the whole idea of pets i have lost count of the animals i have looked after over the years i didn’t mind for a lot of the time i think it is important that kids get to learn about caring for different animals but now i am too poorly to keep cleaning up i have my little chihuahua and hopefully he will last a fair few years but after him i will not get any more, good to hear from you lovely i hope you are not suffering the same scorching weather we are having i am no good with sunshine looks nice but i don’t like going out in it ^_^ i am a winter girl at heart ^_^ love and hugs to you my lovely xx

      1. That’s the part I didn’t like either cleaning up the bird cage and following him around when I let him out.

What you need when all your pets have done their time on earth is a cat. He / she will love you and keep you warm and give you hugs and keep you company. The kitty litter takes one minute a day or you can get all kinds of special kinds to cut down on the work. 🙂

      2. aww i know wha you mean, cats are my first love so to speak i always had cats when i was younger before i had children but unfortunately here where i live cats do not last very long there is a lot of busy roads and i lost a few to road accidents and also the rate of cat stealing is very high they steal them and use them as bait in dog fights its awful and after my last one i had a feral rescue i called him trotsky and i loved him so much but when he was taken i vowed i would have no more i could not face the heart break of losing any more and to be honest i think a lot round here have gone the same way as cats are not seen much now which is better than having them taken or killed the local council etc have worked hard on decimating even the feral cats which is great they work hard to stop the dig fighting but it goes in underground i am even scared of losing my little dog i am with him constantly and police have said that in a burglary round here they are usually after the pet dog not the tv i am lucky in this house there are so many of us there is always someone in i wouldn’t ever leave my little dogs on their own, so you see hubby and i have decided that when the kids have grown up and we have no more pets we shall sell the house and go see the world so fingers crossed it all goes to plan ^_^

      3. Oh my. Oh my. I’ve never heard of people stealing pet, or cats or dogs. Awful. Terrible. Brutal.
I don’t let my kitty outside. She’s an inside cat although she was a lost and found from the SPCA (animal shelter).
I know what you mean about travelling. Pets tie you down and you can’t enjoy. Once you’ve done all the traveling you want, maybe then.
Take care. Have a lovely weekend. 🙂
